The Three Types of Passports
A passport can be defined as an official document that is usually issued by the local government of a particular country with the personal information of the holder namely date of birth, full names, nationality, finger print and even the passport photo; this is to certify that he ors he is a citizen of that particular country and use this as a ticket to travel to other foreign countries under its protection. You should be able to know the kind of passport that you are applying for when you need one. This is because they have three categories namely a regular passport, child passport and a temporary passport. In order to be able to be issued with one of the three there are certain terms and conditions that the applicant has to meet. The following is the description of the three passports that you can get from your country.
The regular passport is the most common type of passport. This is what is issued in each and every country. Though they might differ in terms of appearance, they should bare the holder’s information. This kind of passport is usually issued to people who are above the age of fifteen. There are no reasons for applications but that are usually given so that the holders can be able just to have them in case they would like to travel. Passports do have serial and passport numbers that are very unique to them. The validity lasts for just a few years. This will force you to renew it once it has expired.
The second one is the child passport. This is the also common because it is only issued to children. Those kids that are under the age of fifteen cannot be given a regular passport. The child passport do not have a lot of information apart from the basic information. The child passport has got the full name of the child, the nationality and the passport photo of the kid. Any child will get to own a child passport only with a valid reason and this will take some time.
The last one is the temporary passport. Just as the name suggests a temporary passport is only issued for a limited period of time. This will always be issued to those that do not own a regular passport yet they need to travel to a foreign country urgently as the page explains. You can also use this passport in to visit any country that demand a regular passport from all its visitors. In such a case your country will issue you with a temporary passport that you will use to visit that country for just the few number of days.
